5K/10K/25K Teams

Online registration opens October 16!

Team competition is available for the 25K, 10K and 5K Run with five team categories:

  • Corporate
  • Speed
  • Military
  • Public Safety
  • USATF

Valid Teams:

  • Must be completed online TEAM REGISTRATION and submitted by Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:59p EDT
  • Individual team members must be registered for their event by Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:59p EDT

Team Competition Information

  • Team registration must be completed online with all team members registered by Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:59p EDT.
  • Individual participants may compete on only one team.
  • All team members must compete in the same distance event.
  • USATF and Public Safety (Police, Fire, EMT, etc) team fees only are waived; individual participant fees required.
  • Military team and individual participant fees are waived. 
  • No roster changes (add, deletes) will be accepted after Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:59p EDT.
  • No late registration for teams available on Friday, May 11 or Saturday, May 12, 2018.  
  • Gear Check available in Event Day Hospitality at DeVos Place for Team Members only.  Please arrange a separate location to meet with family and friends prior to and after the event.  Event Day Hospitality is available for purchase for friends and family to join team members.
  • Trophies are given to the top three teams in each division and individual members will receive medals.

Corporate Team Divisions

Division One: < 1,000 employees
Division Two: 1,000 - 2,500 employees
Division Three: 2,500+ employees

  • Employees with a minimum of 20 hours (excluding consultants, retirees, or spouses).
  • Minimum of five and no more than 10 participants per team.
  • Corporation may enter as many teams as desired.
  • Must register as 25K, 10K, or 5K participant
  • The top firve finishers will count toward the team's score. Teams with fewer than five finishers will be disqualified.
  • Scoring is based on each participant within his/her age group on each team.  The team with the lowest score wins.
  • Trophies are given to the top three teams in each division and individual members will receive medals.

Speed Team

  • Minimum of five and no more than 10 participants per team.
  • Team members do not have to be employees of one company.
  • The top five finishers will count toward the team's score. Teams with fewer than five finishers will be disqualified.
  • Scoring is based on the combined times of the top five finishers on each team.
  • Trophies are given to the top three teams and individual members will receive medals.

Military Team

  • All fees are waived for military team members.
  • All members must be active, reserve, retired or former members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Minimum of five and no more than 10 participants per team.
  • The top five finishers count toward the team's score. Teams with fewer than five finishers will be disqualified.
  • Scoring is based on the combined times of the top five finishers on each team.
  • Trophies are given to the top three teams and individual members will receive medals.

Public Safety Teams

  • Team fee is waived, individual fees required
  • Minimum of five and no more than 10 runners per team.
  • Team members do not have to be the employees of one company.  However, you must be employed by a public safety organization (i.e.police department, fire department, etc.)
  • The top five finishers will count toward the team's score. Teams with fewer than five finishers will be disqualified. 
  • Scoring is based on the combined times of the top five finishers on each team.
  • Trophies are given to the top three teams and individual members will receive medals

USATF Teams

  • 25K teams only.
  • All members must be individually registered with a 2017 USATF membership number
  • No team registration fee for USATF teams is required.
  • The maximum number of team members is unlimited.
  • Male teams must have a minimum of five runners who will be scored on aggregate time.
  • Female teams must have a minimum of three runners who wil be scored on aggregate time.
  • The USA Team Championship title will be awarded to the first place national club team and association club team.

 

Scoring

  • All Fifth Third River Bank Run participants will wear the Chronotrack B-Tag (attached to bibi) for scoring purposes.
  • Please attach your participant bib (with B-Tag attached) to the front of your shirt for best results.
  • Participant bib/B-Tag does not need to be returned following event.
